Frequently asked questions
What score do you need to pass C2 Proficiency (CPE)?
An average of 200 or more on the Cambridge English Scale. From 200 to 212 is Grade C and from 213 to 219, Grade B: with either you get the C2 Proficiency (CPE) certificate at level C2. From 220 it is Grade A: the same certificate, at level C2.
Can you fail one paper and still pass C2 Proficiency (CPE)?
Yes. There is no minimum score per paper: what counts is the average of all of them. A weak paper is made up for by the others.
